Have you ever looked up and noticed that your Cessna is missing one or more of the vortex generator tabs? If you are missing enough of them, your aircraft will be considered unairworthy!
For Cessna 180-180H, 182-182D and 185-A185E: According to STC SA00512SE, f you are missing more than six (6) vortex generators, the aircraft is not airworthy and it must be repaired before flight.
For Cessna 180J, 180K and the A185F: According to STC SA00165SE for your Cessna 180J, 180K and the A185F, if you are missing more than four (4) vortex generators, the aircraft must be flown in accordance with the original markings, placards, and the original handbook. If more than six vortex generators or either delta wing are missing or damaged, the aircraft is not airworthy and must be repaired before flight. (For small VGs see P/N 1C0141020-01 and P/N 1C0011001-01).
For Cessna 120 or 140: If more than four (4) vortex generators are missing or damaged, the aircraft must be flown in accordance with the original markings, placards and Flight Manual. If more than six vortex generators are missing or damaged, the aircraft is not airworthy and must be repaired before flight. (For small VGs see P/N 1C0141020-01 and P/N 1C0011001-01).
We have VG spares for your Cessna and the adhesive you need to install them. You could purchase 5 or 6 extra VGs to keep in the aircraft as spares so you don't get caught on some backcountry strip or even your local air strip without the proper amount of VGs on the wings.
