Have you ever looked up and realized that your wings are missing one or more of the little vortex generator tabs? This spares kit is just what you will need if you are off in the backcountry or on your local air strip to continue to fly with an airworthy airplane.

The kit includes (5) VGs and a small amount of adhesive. (If you are missing a tail strake one may be purchased by calling Cub Crafters as well.)

For PA-18 Super Cubs: If more than six (6) vortex generators are missing or damaged (or a tail strake is missing or damaged) the aircraft according to the STC, is not airworthy and must be repaired before flight.

For Top Cub CC18-180 aircraft: According to the Aircraft Flight Manual, no more than three vortex generators are allowed to be missing on an aircraft, or no more than two vortex generators missing per wing. The missing vortex generators must not be next to each other. If there are vortex generators missing, the maximum takeoff weight of the aircraft is limited to 2100 lbs.

For Sport Cub CC11-100 or Carbon Cub CC11-160: According to the Aircraft Flight Manual, no more than three vortex generators are allowed to be missing on an aircraft, or no more than two vortex generators missing per wing. The missing vortex generators must not be next to each other.
